When people hear of key rings, most often than not, they will give you a quizzical look. Who on earth would be interested to hear articles or stories about key rings? It is just used to hold your keys in place anyway. Some people do not even know that key rings and keychains are not one and the same.

For starters, key rings are not the same as keychains. Keychains are the items that give personality to the bunch of keys hanging together. Key rings on the other hand are the ones that hold the keys together. It is used so that important keys such as your car keys, house keys and locker keys will not be misplaced.

If you are not into the traditional type of key ring, which is just circular in shape, there are other designs out there that is certainly worth a second look. One example of this is the split key ring. It is not just a key ring; it is a key in itself as well.

Another unique idea for a key ring is the USB keyring. As the name suggests, it has a fully functioning USB incorporated in the key ring. Search around your favorite stores and even online for there are USB key rings that is worth less than $15 with 2 GB of memory. Small businesses and large companies take advantage of this feature and use it as corporate giveaways. They would just put their logo on the USB so it is visible for everyone to see.

Ad loops is another unusual twist regarding key ring design. Ad loops are commonly designed by having ribbons or plastic handles held together by plastic loops that comes in various colors. It is called as ad loops because this is often used by companies as their promotional tool. This is also a good tool if you want to organize your keys by properly tagging them.

Metal coin keyring is not that unique but there is no doubt that it is an interesting design to use. For those who are into coin collecting, this is the type of key ring they would prefer.
